The sudden outbreak of Covid19 has every country in the world under its effect, there are front liners who are trying to normalise the situation in every possible way. The doctors, nurses, workers, farmers etc., are working tirelessly to help people at home be safe and secure. The World Health Organization has guided everyone to follow social distaining and self-isolation for preventing the spread of the virus. While most of the countries are under lockdown, there is a shortage of essential needs for a section of the society. Our queens are stepping up to help the ones in need and providing them with the utmost essentials to make their survival a little easier that it is.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has stepped up to help the people in need amidst the pandemic. The diva who is a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador has been using her social media platform to raise awareness and funds for the people who need the essential supplies like masks, food, hygiene products etc. Pia started a fundraiser online aims to secure 25,000 pieces of surgical masks, costing around P600,000.
Recently Pia shared that with her team she has sent about 15,000 medical masks to frontlines working in hospitals across Metro Manila. She had already dispatched about 11,000 surgical masks last week to various hospitals in Metro Manila. While thanking everyone who donated through her online fundraising organization, Pia shared that they have reached their goal of sending out 25,000 pieces of surgical masks but she wants to continue with the help. She stated that she wants to continue making masks and sending them out because she feels that their aim is to help the ones in need and there are many people out there who still need help.
Pia has been very active in helping the people suffering and dealing with the outbreak of Covid19 across the globe. She has been using her social media platform to raise awareness and urging people to stay safe and indoors with also explaining some of the essential things one can do while being at home. Pia also joined Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi in her initiative #UniverseUnited and for a quick live session where the diva spoke about the situations in both the countries and what are they doing to stay productive with their loved ones. They both spoke about their advocacies as well.
Pia Wurtzbach has thanked everyone who are helping to prevent the spread of Covid19 in the world and shared some of the essentials tips and techniques one can follow to stay safe indoors. The diva also mentioned that she is glad she’s home with her loved ones and can contribute as much as she can to help the front liners who are putting their lives at risk to serve and care for all of us.
