Catriona Gray was crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2018 on 18th March 2018 last year at a riveting grand finale held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Her national win led to her participation in Miss Universe 2018 which she won at the end of the event finale.
Ever since her crowning as Miss Universe 2018, Catriona has not forgotten her roots and has always shown gratitude and support to her country and Binibining Pilipinas Organization. On the eve of completing one year as the national queen, the gorgeous Filipina beauty got emotional as she posted a heartfelt message on her social media.
She wrote, “One year ago today! This was a night that the dream to represent my country came true. Joining Binibining Pilipinas despite my fears, proving all those people who said I couldn't wrong, I realised that night that those doors that closed on me in the years prior were not denying me but redirecting to something even better than I could ever have dreamed of. Sometimes the Universe has bigger things in store for you, you just need to stay true to yourself, surround yourself with people who believe in you, put the work in and have faith. Forever a Miss Philippines, forever a Binibini.”
