African delegates astonish in their introduction video for Miss Universe 2019

The coronation ceremony of Miss Universe 2019 will be held on 8th December 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. This pageant will be hosted by Steve Harvey in his fifth consecutive year as a host. Catriona Gray of Philippines will crown her successor by the end of the night. A new crown made by luxury jeweler Mouawad will also make its debut.

The official Facebook page of Miss Universe 2019 shared a brief “Up and Close Personal” video of the African beauties for a quick glance as to what purpose these beautiful ladies hold in their lives. The video is a quick glance at the various African beauties who will compete for the title of Miss Universe 2019 in their home ground settings.

Here are candidates from the countries of Africa up & personal about their journey –

Salett Miguel Miss Universe Angola 2019

The diva is currently studying political science and International relations. Her goal in life is to impact the lives of the youth who are struggling with fatherhood denial and various other hardships. Salett believes that determination, education and positivity can change the world and she is very blessed and excited to be the part of the change.

Diana Hamed Miss Universe Egypt 2019

The diva is currently studying Business in London, England. She is a proud feminist, as women in her country are still not considered as equals. She wants to spread equality and wants her country to appreciate women more. Diana created a special campaign to promote self-love and acceptance after her struggle in the modeling industry. She is very close to her family and hopes to make them proud at Miss Universe 2019 ceremony.

Serafina Eyene Miss Universe Guinea Equatorial 2019

The diva is studying mechanical engineering. She also plays in the best basketball team in her country. She is very proudly associated with organizations that works and aims to fights against teen pregnancy and sexual abuse of minors.

Stacy Michuki Miss Universe Kenya 2019

The diva is the youngest candidate for the title. She hopes, with her hard work, dedication and determination to achieve her dream of becoming a world-renowned high fashion model. The model is passionate about youth empowerment all around the globe and strongly believes that the next generation are the leaders of tomorrow. She also wants to be a role model to young girls and instill the idea that regardless of background or current circumstances, dreams can come true.

Ornella LaFleche Miss Universe Mauritius 2019 

The diva is studying Marketing Management and works as a professional model. She learned the power of kindness, gratitude and hard work at a very young age. She is very passionate about social work and helps children who are the victims of sexual abuse. She believes that every single moment of life should be cherished and enjoyed to its fullest.

Nadja Breytenbach Miss Universe Namibia 2019

The old diva is passionate about psychology and has her Hons. Degree in Psychology. She works to help provide safe and loving homes to children in need. She visits schools and orphanages and encourages the youth of Namibia to seize every opportunity one gets in order to become the best citizens they should be.

Olutosin Araromi Miss Universe Nigeria 2019

The diva holds a degree in health and human services with a minor in psychology. She currently works as model, presenter and a public speaker. She is an avid woman empowerment advocate and has featured on numerous woman empowerment platforms as a panelist. She uses her platform for empowerment and pedestrian safety.

Marie Esther Bangura Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2019

The diva is a student studying procurement, logistics and supply. She works in her community to advocate people about Good Touch, Bad Touch campaign that works to put an end to the sexual exploitation of the youth. She dreams of starting a fashion line and hosting her own TV show “Moments with Marie”

Zozibini Tunzi Miss Universe South Africa 2019

The diva is very passionate activist and engaged in the fight against gender-based violence. She has devoted her social media campaign to changing the narrative around gender stereotypes. Zozibini is a prod advocate for natural beauty and self-love. She encourages the women to love themselves as they are.

Shubila Stanton Miss Universe Tanzania 2019

The diva is an environmentalist and has recently earned her degree in environmental science and management. She enjoys her time with the youth in the community and engaging with them in various activities. She works for an organization to help tutor and provide food and homes to children. She hopes to use her title as a platform to promote the cause she holds near and dear.
