With the 16 days of Activism starting, everyone has joined in the fight against gender-based violence. #MyBodyStandUp challenge was initiated recently in collaboration with ‘1st for women’ to raise awareness around the violence against women.

Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi has also joined against the GBV in the new challenge which accompanies a newly released track created by award-winning singer Lira, electronic group GoodLuck, former Jamali member Mariechan and rapper Gigi Lamayne, called My Body.

Zozibini took to her official social media to talk about the initiative as she wrote, “@1stforwomen has teamed up with incredible artists to launch a song that will assist women affected by abuse. Check out the song via link in bio. ?? #MyBodyStandUp.”

A fierce activist and supporter of causes against gender-based violence, Zozibini as joined the call to action. She used her title and her platform for talking about issues that hit closer to home.

Every time the track is streamed, downloaded or bought; all proceeds go towards the 1st for Women Foundation which supports gender-based violence eradication programmes in South Africa.
