The 72nd edition of Miss Universe, i.e. Miss Universe 2023, will be held on 18th November 2023 at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador where Miss Universe 2022 Rbonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
While all the delegates competing for the international crown are putting their best foot forward, here are our final favourites for the Miss Universe 2023 crown (in no particular order) –
Anntonia Porsild Miss Universe Thailand 2023
Anntonia Porsild is of Danish-Thai heritage, being born in India to her Danish father Morten Porsild and her Thai mother Tanradee ‘Nee’ Porsild. Anntonia, as good as she is in her communication skills, is fluent in English and Thai.
Porsild is not new to the pageantry and model world as well; she competed at The Face of Thailand Season 1 and finished at the 10th spot. In 2019, Porsild was crowned Miss Supranational Thailand 2019 at The Bazaar Theater in Bangkok, Thailand. The stunner, then, went on to represent Thailand at Miss Supranational 2019 where she competed against 76 other candidates at the Miedzynarodowe Centrum Kongresowe w Katowicach in Katowice, Poland and won the title.
Noelia Voigt Miss Universe USA 2023
Noelia is the first Venezuelan-American to win Miss USA. She is 23 years of age and an interior designer by profession. Hailing from Utah, this childhood cancer survivor has made her impression at the international stage.
Voigt is an ardent advocate for immigration rights and reform. She is also an author of a children’s book that honors the life of a 9-year-old girl who died by suicide because of how badly she was bullied. Through her reign, she also hopes to continue her anti-bullying advocacy and raising awareness about teen dating violence.
Quynh Hoa Bui Miss Universe Vietnam 2023
Bui is 25 years of age and hails from Hanoi. Not new to the pageantry, Bui won Supermodel Vietnam 2018 and went on to be crowned Supermodel International 2022.
Michelle Dee Miss Universe Philippines 2023
Michelle Dee is everyone’s hopeful as the representative of Philippines at Miss Universe 2023. Pageantry runs in her blood; Dee's mother, actress and producer Melanie Marquez, is a former beauty queen who won the Miss International crown in 1979.
Not new to the pageant world as well, Michelle was crowned Miss World Philippines in 2019. She represented her country at Miss World in the same year where she finished in the Top 12, held in London. She also went onto compete at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 where she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022.
Shweta Sharda Miss Universe India 2023
Shweta is 22 years of age and was born in Chandigarh. Raised by a single parent, Sharda moved to Mumbai at the age of 16. Shweta’s journey towards the crown has been a testament to her resilience in the midst of struggles.
As for her humanitarian causes, Shweta is deeply passionate about environmental conservation and empowering underprivileged youth. She has raised awareness about sustainable practices and initiate community-driven initiatives to protect the planet. Shweta also aims to create mentorship programs for disadvantaged young individuals, offering guidance and opportunities for personal growth to inspire positive change by addressing these crucial issues and fostering impactful actions.
Diane Leyre Miss Universe France 2023
Diane Leyre is 26 years of age and a model and radio personality by profession who hails from Paris. Diane holds a degree in business administration from IE University in Madrid.
Not new to the pageantry, in December 2021, Diane was crowned Miss France 2022 where she represented Île-de-France at the Zénith de Caen in Caen, Normandy. However, due to her schedule and conflicts with duties as Miss France, she could not participate at Miss Universe then.
Celeste Viel Miss Universe Chile 2023
Celeste Viel, representing Chile, has been a fan-favourite for the crown ever since the beginning of the competition. Celeste Viel is 23 years of age and a public relations student, model, and health coach. She is a strong orator and has a vibrant personality which makes her a strong contender for the crown.
Camila Avella Miss Universe Colombia 2023
Camila Avella made history as she became the first ever mother and married woman to be crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2023. Camila is 28 years of age and a model, content creator, and TV host. As for the advocacy, Maria is the international ambassador of ‘Yo Vivo en El Amor’ as the objective is to improve the world through education based on love, both in children and adults, promoting a future full of love and consciousness.
Moraya Wilson Miss Universe Australia 2023
Wilson is a sports coach at a secondary school across 3 disciplines; Athletics, Cross Country and Snowsports. Along with that, Moraya has also been working as a model for the past five years, travelling and working around Australia. She is definitely a strong contender for the international crown this year.
Ana Barbara Coimbra Miss Universe Angola 2023
Ana Bárbara Da Silva Coimbra is 23 years of age and model and project manager by profession. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics. She is one of the Top 10 silver finalists for ‘Voice for Change’ award. Another strong contender for the Miss Universe 2023 crown for sure!
