El Salvador to host the 72nd edition of Miss Universe

At the finale of Miss Universe 2022 held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023, El Salvador was announced as the host country for the 71st edition of Miss Universe.

El Salvador president Nayib Bukele announced that this edition will be held in El Salvador before the end of 2023. The last time it was hosted in 1975, making the return of hosting the event in Latin America since 2011. Here is the official statement of Miss Universe –



At the finale of Miss Universe 2022, Harnaaz Sandhu of India crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States as the new Miss Universe. It is USA’s first victory in 10 years, and the ninth victory of the country - the most by any country in the pageant's history.

Miss Universe 2022 was the first edition held under the JKN Global Group. The competition was the first event since 1954 not to be televised in any major American television network and air on the streaming provider The Roku Channel as the official broadcaster of the show for the first time.
