Miss Universe Albania 2020 Paula Mehmetuka revealed her national costume for Miss Universe 2020 a few hours ago on her social media as she wrote, “Counting down the days to Albania being represented on the great stage of Miss Universe. Humbled and privileged to be able to show the true colors of our country, the pride and soul of our people.”
Red like blood that runs through the veins,the outfit is embroided with red crystal stones from underground treasures. The national costume, ‘Queen of Earth and Skies’ is designed by Enada At'Nikolla Atelie inspired by the ‘Eagle.’
“This dress is the flag and I am the eagle that spreads her wings and flies as high as possible with all the albanian pride to represent her country and show the world that just like eagles, we soar high and break all the barriers and limits,” Paula added.
Paula is the founder of a Non-Profit Organization, ‘Together’ (Fondacioni Bashke) with an aim to be of support to all ages and genders of all communities.
Introducing her foundation, Paula mentioned, “Individually we are one drop, Together we are an ocean. It’s this motto of our foundation ‘Together’, we’ve been working on for a long time...’Together’ was the inspiration I received from all of you, as together we can do it, together we are stronger, together we can bring back a smile to children that due to life circumstances cannot,to give grandparents a hug, to those with disabilities, a help to every community. That’s why we thought we’d give it a name as simple and meaningful. Our country needs more than this, but we, as far as we can, will try to be with those in need! Because TOGETHER we are what we can never be when we are alone, we are indestructible! We are Together!”
The 22-year-old queen is appreciated for not just her beauty but her attitude, her kindness, her charm, smile and elegance, making her one of the strongest contenders at the competition. Her beautiful personality and confidence along with the queen-like ensemble will be much awaited to be seen on the ramp.
Miss Universe 2020 will host the National Costume competition on 13th May 2021 with a live broadcast. Miss Universe Albania 2020 Paula Mehmetukaj will represent Albania at the 69th edition of Miss Universe on 16th May 2021 in the United States. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title.
