Miné Coetser became the official delegate of Miss Universe Australia 2022 as she was selected from the state finals of Queensland held on Thursday 26th May 2022 at the Sea World Resort. Coetser is now competing at the national competition and has already become a fan-favourite for the crown.

This will not be Coetser’s first attempt to win Miss Universe Australia crown as she competed at Miss Universe Australia 2020 and was adjudged the first runner-up. A model by profession, this beauty works for a model management company named Chic Brisbane.

Law and creative industry are both the areas that are major passions of Coetser and she has obtained a bachelor’s degree in both. Mine is originally from South Africa as she was born in Pretoria and then immigrated to Australia when she was eight.

For Coetser, Miss Universe Australia is an incredible platform to be able to reach people and make an impact. She also believes education is so important in order for society to continue to grow sustainably. Human rights, particularly child protection, is an area she is passionate about and so is fashion. She wants to combine both of her passions to start a fashion label which works closely with an organisation called Destiny Rescue.

With her ideas for a smart advocacy, stunning features and experience at the national competition, Coetser will definitely be a strong contender for the Miss Universe Australia 2022 crown. What do you think?
