Miss Universe Bahrain organization, on their official social media, announced the coronation of Evlin Khalifa in a private ceremony held on Sunday, 11th September 2022. Evlin will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe.

Evlin Khalifa is 24 years of age and hails from Riffa. Evlin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking and is also a graduate of five schools - music, dancing, modeling, taekwondo, and comprehension. Evlin believes that an empowered woman is a role model for the people.

Lujane Yacoub, 18, from Hamala was also named first runner-up, while Shereen Ahmed, 27, from Manama, and Mariam Naji, 25, from Riffa tied for the second runner-up position.

Evlin Khalifa succeeds Miss Universe Bahrain 2021 Manar Jess Deyani. Deyani made history for being the shortest-ever candidate of the Miss Universe pageant standing at 154.9 cm. Aside from the title, she also bagged the Prasana by Arjani Resort Choice award for her ‘innate hospitality and authentic warmth’.
