Nikoleta Todorova has been appointed as the new representative of Bulgaria for the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, and she replaced the earlier crowned Miss Universe Bulgaria 2017 - Mira Simeonova. The replacement was made as Mira is not eligible to compete in Miss Universe pageant due to age limitation as the delegate must be at least 18 years of age to compete in Miss Universe and Mira is just 17 years old. Nikoleta now becomes the new successor of Miss Universe Bulgaria 2016 Violina Ancheva.

We hope that Mira comes back next year to compete in Miss World and Universe Bulgaria, as she is a beautiful girl and can go a long way in the world of pageants and modelling.

The official announcement made by Miss Universe Bulgaria reads as under -

"Due to the incomplete majority (under 18 years of age) of the currently crowned Miss Universe Bulgaria 2017 - Mira Simeonova, unfortunately, she is not allowed to participate in the Miss Universe 2017 finals. The team of Bok Star Models, as the Miss Universe Official Licensee for Bulgaria, after a meeting, chose the finalist from the final of Miss World and Miss Universe Bulgaria 2017 - Nikoleta Todorova as the new Miss Universe Bulgaria 2017.
