26-year-old Cara stands tall at 5 feet and 7 inches. She graduated from the Berklee College of Music and currently resides in London. Cara is an up and coming musician, and has had many successful gigs. Her fascination, that draws her to pageantry, comes from the fact that her mother, “who is absolutely stunningly beautiful inside and out,” says Cara, was the first runner-up in the Miss South Africa 1982 pageant.

She founded an initiative called “Music Heals” that uses song and dance to educate, equip & empower young women and children to try and help prevent them from being sexually abused and equip them with skills to be able to make the most of their lives. She launched this initiative because of personal reasons and has been doing workshops for 6 years now, in many schools and churches locally as well as internationally.

On being asked whether she would be putting her music on hold to fulfill her duties as a reigning queen in case she wins Miss Universe Great Britain 2018, Cara says, “Absolutely, although I am signed to Sony Music Entertainment worldwide, I have a licensing deal, which means that they release my music when I produce it. I’m not beholden to anyone, I work for myself, manage my own time and set my own schedule so it will be easy for me to put things on hold, make the most of reign if I am honored enough to achieve that and put all my time into preparing for Miss Universe.”

Cara also explained what she wanted her fans and the world to see through the Miss Universe Great Britain competition. “I am fiercely determined. This can be seen through the work I do with my Music Heals initiative as well asby my music and equestrian achievements, having competed at the World equestrian Games 3 times, having had #1 hits on radio, having opened for and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, by being signed to one of the biggest record labels in the world and having performed my own music on some of the biggest stages around the globe including Ultra Music Festival Miami, Sonar and Coachella Music Festival to a crowd of 15,000 people, to name a few,” she explained.
