Miss Universe Malaysia 2021 aspirant Melisha Lin turns TEDx speaker

Melisha Lin, who is one of the favorites to join Miss Universe Malaysia 2021, took to her social media to share the news that she has been invited to speak as a TEDx Speaker at AIMST University on 29th August 2021, where she will be speaking with a lot of passion on the topic of "Live Life with Passion". She wrote, "Reaching a special milestone in my life, where I never thought this goal would ever be accomplished! And you know what, it's happening! "

Melisha is 23 years old and stands 177 cm tall, and is a graduate with a Bachelor of Art in Marketing Management from the University of Greenwich. Melisha is a host and model. Her journey into the beauty pageant world started two years ago when she started studying at Runway Productions and later competed at Global Asian Model International 2019. She feels immensely proud that, in such a short time, she was able to represent her country internationally. The diva is a mentor for aspiring models aged 13-29 and she works towards a more inclusive talent agency, as the Marketing Manager of aiDEM Studio. She wants to use the national platform to advocate and create awareness about mental health in her country and has been working towards the same for almost a year. Apart from pageant industry, she is currently a Talent Manager at Lugiámi Gaming, which empowers women in gaming, and she’s also the President-Elect of the Rotaract Club of Bukit Bintang.

Melisha was also nominated for the Young Asian Excellence Female Personality Category 2021 in the Field of Behavioral Health as the ‘Excellent Young Asian Female Advocate of Mental Health Award 2021’. Melisha has emerged as one of the favorites for Miss Universe Malaysia 2021. "If there's something that I want to do apart from breaking the stigma of mental health and making a difference, it will definitely be to break the stereotypes, standards of beauty, and the need to be "perfect" on social media," she added on her social media post. Melisha set forth towards the journey to Miss Universe Malaysia 2021 as she has started to use hashtags such as #Melisha4Universe and #M4M in her recent posts confirming her intentions to join the pageant.
