The Miss Universe Organization announced today that the annual Miss Universe pageant is open to applications from potential National Directors who would like their country-level pageant starting 2024 edition.

The official press release quoted, “We often hear that pageant professionals and fans would love to be a part of the international system but have no idea how to get involved. Well, we've just opened our first-ever open procurement for potential partners who want to host a competition and be part of Miss Universe 2024. And, people can fill it out right on an online form.”

With the organization’s commitment to being inclusive, it is the first time in pageant's 72-year history that MUO is taking formal applications from the public. The application is open to any potential partner who is not currently part of the system for 2023 while existing national directors will have a separate renewal process.

The applications opened in August 2023, and the application window will close on 30th September 2023. Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held on 18th November 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador where Rbonney Gabriel will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
