Alaiza is not new to the pageantry world as she participated in Binibining Pilipinas 2015 and later was seen at Asia’s Next Top Model Season 4 where she represented Philippines. But unfortunately, she was bowed out of the regional modelling search and lost in Elite Model Look Asia. Even though, she couldn’t win the pageants, her zeal or desire to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020 brought her back to the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 stage.

Alaiza is an advocate of mental wellness awareness and is appointed as ambassador for Flourish Circle by Love Yourself organization. It is a community-driven initiative that utilizes peer support to facilitate resilience and wellness to those experiencing thoughts and feelings related to depression, anxiety and suicide.
