Miss Universe Philippines 2020 has officially kicked-off with ardor as the representatives from each state are filled with enthusiasm and are fully involved in the pre-pageant activities while performing their best. Every nation has an event which everyone looks forward to -- just like the Super Bowl or the World Cup. But in the Philippines, while Filipinos do enjoy sports events as such, a great number of them look forward to one particular event – the yearly international beauty pageant competition, Miss Universe.

Whenever it is pageant season, almost every Filipino is glued to their screens to witness every round of the competition. They are also very active on social media expressing their heart-warming support on their favorite representatives. Miss Universe Philippines recently posted a video on their official page, where the beauties gave their short introduction. The caption said, “Contestants Speak Different Languages. No matter what language she speaks, every Filipina is phenomenal.”

The delegates, even after being so different from each other and speaking different languages, they still have one goal which unites them, that is to move forward towards representing their nation with sincerity through Miss Universe Philippines.

Miss Universe Philippines has become a stepping stone to empower women. It is a way for women to promote their advocacies and inspire women to be confident and strong. It is an avenue for women to be powerful, influential, and to have a voice – perhaps what every woman should be. There is nothing compared to the unique culture of Philippines when it comes to the beauty pageants. The Filipino culture is definitely one of a kind as it is also amazing to see the beauties of Miss Universe Philippines coming up together with unity, from different regions sharing their love for each other.  

After seeing the previous years’ performances by the Filipina beauties like Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray and Gazini Ganados, it is now interesting to see who will become the pride of the Philippines nation and will be the next representative for Miss Universe 2020.

The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, where the delegates from all over the country will compete for the national title and a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the end of the event.
