Celeste Cortesi was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 at the finale of the national pageant held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena. She bested thirty-one other contestants to win the national crown.

Celeste Cortesi, full name: Silvia Celeste Rabimbi Cortesi, is of Italian-Filipino descent. Celeste was born in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on 15th December 2022. Her father is Italian while her mother Maria Luisa Rabimbi is from Philippines and is of Filipino, Spanish and Chinese descent. Celeste fluently speaks Italian, Filipino and English. The stunning Filipina beauty was raised in Parma, Italy.

She started working as a model after finishing high school in Parma. She stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. Celeste Cortesi is currently pursuing her real estate license. Cortesi became interested in pursuing pageantry as a career and exploring her Filipino roots after watching Pia Wurtzbach's win representing the Philippines at Miss Universe 2015.

Not new to the pageant world, Celeste represented the Filipino community in Rome, Italy at Miss Earth Philippines 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She competed against 41 other candidates and won the title in 2018. After winning the national crown, Celeste represented the Philippines at Miss Earth 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She competed against 86 other candidates and finished in the Top 8.

She advocates for indigenous people and their land rights. Being half-Filipina, Celeste really wanted to discover who were the Filipino. She wanted to go to places in the Philippines and experience their culture. Through her advocacy, she also wants to bring more awareness on their land rights because as a real estate agent, she also wants to do that. Celeste also wants to teach people and help them be more aware of the small groups here in the Philippines that are sometimes not heard or seen enough by the community.
