Miss Universe Singapore organization introduced the Top 20 finalists who will be competing for the title of Miss Universe Singapore 2017 at a press conference held at the Singapore Turf Club on 28th August 2017. Around 60 candidates were shortlisted from the online registration process, which ended on 14th July 2017 for the audition at Singapore Press Holdings culminating in the selection of the twenty beauties to compete at the stage of Miss Universe Singapore 2017.
With this year's theme for the contest being 'Vie for a Beautiful Cause', finalists highlight what they are passionate about. Apart from making glamorous appearances and going for grooming sessions, the Top 20 will be heavily involved in charity work as well.
The finalists announced are Amanda Tan, Ashley Rita Wong, Camira Asrori, Cara Neo, Dalvin Kaur, Debra Loi, Emilbiany Nenggal Intong, Estelle Heng, Mandi Cheung, Manuela Blanka Bruntraeger, Nadiah Sapuan, Rudihra Ramathas, Setia Vegawati, Shahira Jan, Shonalie Raha, Suffianah Baharin, Tanooja Rai, Tessa Hogan, and Trinisha Kaur.
The grand finale of the pageant will be held on 11th October 2017 at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore and the winner will be crowned by the reigning Miss Universe Singapore, Cheryl Chou.
The winner will walk away with a total of $10,000 in cash, $45,000 worth of products and services, a feature in Her World magazine and most importantly, a chance to represent Singapore in Miss Universe 2017.
