The organization of Miss Universe Thailand held the first press conference for Miss Universe Thailand 2020 with major changes to the pageant keeping in mind the situation of covid-19 pandemic. The coronation ceremony will be held on 10th October 2020 and Miss Universe Thailand 2019 Paweensuda Drouin will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
With the list of delegates coming in for the beauty competition, the organization will announce the 100 potential candidates and select Top 30 who will move forward in the competition and compete for the national title and an opportunity to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Yuyi Thidapon Ketthong is one of the delegates who has confirmed her participation for Miss Universe Thailand 2020. She is 26-years-old and has stands 172 cm tall and has earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science Branch from Thammasat University and master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Sirindhorn International University of Technology.
Yuyi is not new to the beauty pageant world as she was crowned Miss Grand Sukhothai 2018 and represented the province at Miss Grand Thailand 2018. Later, she participated at Miss Grand Bangkok 2020 and was adjudged as the second runner-up at the end of the event finale. And now, the diva has confirmed that she has submitted her application for Miss Universe Thailand 2020 title.
In her recent social media post, Yui has mentioned that in the world where everyone and everything is evolving, sometimes one has to think about who you are and where you’re at and figure out whether or not it’s time for a refresh, a total change in direction. She added, “Our biggest goals are possible, and with the right mindset we can realign our very existence to become the person we need to be to achieve them. We may have stumbled a lot of times, but what matters more is that, we stand up again, remain strong and continue to work hard for our dreams.”
The diva has mentioned that she is very thankful for everyone who has supported her and motivated her throughout her pageant journey and has assured that she will perform her best at the competition and will try to win the crown and earn her chance to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2020 stage.
