Fiona Tenuta Vanerio has been appointed Miss Universe Uruguay 2019 on 25th October 2019 by Osmel Souza, the national director of Miss Universe Uruguay Organization. She succeeds Miss Universe Uruguay 2018 Sofía Marrero.
The beautiful diva is 22 years of age and stands 177 cm tall. This young diva is a runaway model and is now aspiring to be the next Miss Universe. From Maldonado, Fiona works with Valentino Modeling Agency. With a firm and strong personality, Fiona is all set to give a strong competition to the other delegates.
Not only is Fiona beautiful, she also has a kind and giving heart. She is an honorary with a foundation named SOS Rescate de Fauna Marina that cares for and protects the marine species of Uruguay. With all the preparations that have already begun for her international stint, she will definitely be a strong contender at the international stage of Miss Universe 2019.
Last year, Sofía Marrero Miss Universe Uruguay 2018 represented her country at Miss Universe 2018 but unfortunately failed to win a spot at the Top 20. The country is yet to pioneer its win in Miss Universe pageant.
Miss Universe 2019 will be the 68th edition of the Miss Universe competition. Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event. The pageant will be hosted by Steve Harvey on his fifth consecutive year of Miss Universe. A new crown made by luxury jeweler Mouawad will be used this year.
