Miss Utah USA 2018 finale night held at Peery's Egyptian Theater, Utah on 6th January 2018 concluded with the crowning of Narine Ishhanov from Utah County. She was crowned by outing Miss Utah USA 2017 Baylee Jensen and will now go on to represent Utah in Miss USA 2018.
Miss Utah County USA 2017 Narine Ishhanov’s native place is Bluffdale. She is a Pre-med student at the University of Utah. Narine is originally from Armenia and she migrated to USA 13 years back. She is an ardent dog lover and is often spotted hanging out with her dog. She has faced quite a few challenges and obstacles but she has definitely come a long way. Her experiences have humbled her in life and she has learned to always pay her regular respect to God through daily prayers. She believes that in life faith and courage is the key to progress.
After her excellent win, she expressed, “I cannot believe this happened. This moment felt unreal. It is a dream come true! It has always been on my bucket list to accomplish this goal. But this experience is much more meaningful. I am humbled to be crowned Miss Utah USA 2018. When I immigrated to the great state of Utah 13 years back, I would have never imagined being a business owner aspiring for a career in dentistry. This past weekend was surreal and I feel so blessed. With continuous faith in God, I will be thankful for my blessings! And will pray through the good times and the bad. Because our resilience through challenges is what moulds us into the people we are!”
At the same event, 18-year-old Madilen Kellogg from Layton province was crowned Miss Utah Teen USA 2018. She will now represent Utah in Miss Teen USA 2018.
