The 8th Edition of CC Forum London (Climate Change Forum) was held in the Dorchester Hotel from 17th – 20th October 2022 with the participation of Miss World. The Chic Icon, the official media partner, announced the new co-ownership of the Miss World beauty pageant.

For the 71st Edition of the Miss World, Gurung family with the founder Mr. Dipendra Gurung British Businessman with origins from Nepal has been announced as the co-owner of the pageant. He is the owner of the Himalaya Jet company based in Europe-based premium long-haul carrier and several Privé Luxury Cinemas around the world.

Gurung Family will now be hosting the pageant beginning 71st edition throughout the world. The Gurung family has announced their new venture – Himalaya Jet, a Europe-based premium long-haul carrier as a part of their conglomerate.  

The joint initiatives of CC Forum, Miss World, and Gurung Family to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on the Himalayan Glaciers were also highlighted during the event. The 71st Miss World beauty pageant will be held in early 2023. However, the host location has not been finalized yet. Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska will crown her successor by the end of the event finale.

Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World, was privately invited and hosted by Mr. Dipendra Gurung MIoD, Executive Director of Himalaya Jet, in the event, in alliance with the upcoming 71st Miss World Event and campaigning for Beauty with a Purpose.
