Anastasia Laurynchuk, who was the second runner-up at Miss Belarus 2018 beauty pageant held last year, has now been appointed as Miss World Belarus 2019. She will represent Belarus in Miss World 2019 international beauty contest to be held in Thailand later this year.
Born in Minsk, Anastasia is currently pursuing her studies at the School of Business and Management of Technology of Belarusian State University besides working as a part-time model. Anastasia’s involvement in charity work is in her family roots. Her family has been attending children’s homes for many years and provides them with the required support. She also tries to independently participate in such actions. Recently, she accompanied children with disabilities in a special fashion show "Coloured Dreams." In her free time, Anastasia likes to read books.
Anastasia was one of the thirty finalists at Miss Belarus 2018, the finale whereof was held on 4th May 2018. The pageant was won by Maria Vasilevich who was given the title Miss Belarus 2018, and who went on to successfully represent Belarus in Miss World 2018 held last year in Sanya, China. Maria managed to secure Top 5 placement at the finale of Miss World 2018 and was also crowned Miss World Europe 2018. Anastasia, who was the second runner-up at the finale of Miss Belarus 2018, now succeeds Maria and is the appointed representative of Belarus for Miss World 2019.

It may be noted that the Miss Belarus beauty pageant commenced in the year 1998 and since then, it has been held every alternate year. The pageant selects representatives of Belarus for Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational pageants. Belarus made its debut in Miss World in the year 2000, in Miss International in the year 2007 and has been sending a representative to Miss Supranational since its inception in the year 2009.
