Markeisha Young to represent Belize at Miss World 2021

The ILS Phoenix Foundation-Miss World Belize took to their official social media on 25th July 2021, as they announced the new representative of Belize at the upcoming edition of Miss World 2021. Markeisha Young is the new Miss World Belize 2021 and succeeds Miss World 2018 Jalyssa Arthurs.

Markeisha Young is currently pursuing an Associate Degree Tourism Studies at the University of Belize. The stunning beauty is not new to the pageant world as she placed 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe Belize 2019.

2nd Runner Up - Emily Evans

3rd Runner Up - Leeannie Castillo

4th Runner Up - Christalyn Castillo

The panel of judges who made the decision included Taja Binford - American Fashion Designer and Stylist/Owner of Taja Le Chic, Kamira Black - Business Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist, Arreini Palacio - Executive Director of Southern Environmental Association, Athaliah Samuel - Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2012 and Mamahlape Matsoso - Miss World Lesotho 2013.

The contestants who competed for Miss World Belize 2021 were Leeannie Castillo, Sheila Castillo, Sharene Mendez, Markeisha Young, Tianney Godfrey, Shannia Pech, Emily Evans, Meesha Magdaleno, Christalyn Castillo and Moneifa Sulph.
