The magnificent finale of Miss World Hungary 2017 concluded on 18th June 2017 with the crowning of Virag Koroknyai as the winner. Virag defeated 15 finalists, and will now represent Hungary at the Miss World 2017 pageant to be held later this year in China.
The finale started with the introduction of the finalists, and the girls competed through a series of rounds, including cocktail wear and evening gown round. At the same pageant, Viktoria Viczian was adjudged the first runner-up, and Laura Peto was titled the second runner-up.
The finale event, which was held in Budapest, also saw a series of musical performances by renowned artists. The finale of Miss World Hungary 2017 was hosted by Tatár Csilla and Harsányi Levente. Tímea Gelencsér, Miss World Hungary 2016 took her final walk before passing on her crown to Virag.
Miss World Hungary is an annual national beauty pageant of Hungary that selects a representative for the Miss World pageant. Between 1985 to 1995, Hungarian representatives for Miss World were sent through Miss Hungary pageant. Since 1996, the Miss Hungary for Miss World has been organized by Mr. Adam Fasy and he held it till 2005. Since 2006 the franchise of Miss World in Hungary has been handled by Magyarország Szépe.
