Rachelle Reijnders crowned as Miss World Netherlands 2016

Netherlands has chosen its representative for the Miss World 2016 pageant. Rachelle Reijnders has been crowned as the Miss World Netherlands 2016 and will now represent the country at the Miss World 2016 pageant. The finale of Miss World Netherlands 2016 was held on 6th November 2016.

At the same pageant, Zoë Niewold was adjudged the first runner-up and Christina Lazaros was titled second runner-up. Rachelle is currently a student at Wageningen University. Initially, the country had an amazing start at the Miss World pageant. In 1959, Corine Rottschäfer was crowned as the winner. The second win was achieved by Catharina Johanna Lodders in 1962.

After a series of unfortunate performances, Netherlands is back on track with its performance. Until last year the country used to send a representative via Miss Nederland, but this year a new pageant has been installed. The newly crowned Miss World Netherlands 2016 Rachelle Reijnders is not new to the world of beauty pageants, and has previously been a contestant at Miss Netherlands.
