Miss World Northern Ireland organization held the national finals last night, i.e. 23rd May 2022 at the Europa hotel where Daria Gapska was crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2022 at the end of the event finale.
The 22-year-old nursing student bested twenty-four ladies to win the national crown. The Ballymena beauty queen will now go on to represent Northern Ireland at the 71st Miss World pageant.
The newly crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2022 Daria Gapska’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Lucy Johnston from Armagh
2nd Runner-up – Poppy Smith from Belfast
Daria succeeds and was crowned by Miss Northern Ireland 2021 Anna Leitch. Leitch took part at Miss World where she went on to place within the top six and was crowned Miss World Europe. It was the country’s highest placement at Miss World till now.
Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska from Poland also travelled to Belfast to join the esteemed judges at this year's competition. Rebecca McKinney, a radio presenter and Anna Leitch Miss World Europe were the hosts for the finale.
