Krysthelle Barretto was crowned Miss World Panama 2020 in a ceremony held on 9th October 2020 on the NexTV morning show “Mujer”. She was crowned by Miss World Panama 2019 Agustina Ruiz and was very excited to take over the crown duties as Miss World Panama 2020 and start preparing for the competition.

After being crowned, Krysthelle took to her social media to thank everyone for their constant support and love. She mentioned, “Officially Miss World Panama 2020! Believe in the beauty of your dreams and never stop fighting for them. All our dreams can come true if we dare to pursue them. Thank you all very much for your beautiful wishes, for sharing this dream with me and I invite you to join me in this adventure that begins today.”

The diva is 25-years-old and stands 178 cm tall; is a fashion design and marketing student at USMA - Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua de Panamá. She is an active volunteer of the Olga Sinclair Foundation in charge of children at social risk in our country through art, culture, and education. She wishes to use her advocacy to bring a significant change to the world with her efforts. She will use to platform to educate and create awareness with her Beauty with Purpose project i.e., ‘Regions for the World’ whose objective is to help with the needs and deficiencies that plague children and youth in the 5 regions of Panama.

Krysthelle is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she participated in Miss World Panama 2019. She also participated in Senorita Panama 2019 where she was a part of the Top 12 at the coronation night. In November 2019, Krysthelle was appointed Miss Supranational Panama 2019 and represented her country at Miss Supranational 2019. With her incredible performance, Krysthelle placed in the Top 10 at the end of the event finale.

The diva is positive, humble, and encouraging towards everyone as she shared, “Like a beautiful star shining in the night sky. Your purpose is not to compare your light or brightness to any other star. Your purpose is not to wish you were a moon or a planet, or to wish you were someone else. Your purpose is not to change who you are or what you are made of. Your purpose is to shine your light as bright and as beautiful as only you can. Your purpose is to celebrate the light of others while celebrating your light too. Because it is only when we are all shining the unique lights that we can light up the entire night sky.”

Krysthelle is excited to represent her country at Miss World 2020 and is hopeful that she will perform her best on-stage to impress the audience and the judges present at the competition. Panama has not yet won the title of Miss World and with Krysthelle Barretto’s crowning, the organization is equally hopeful for the crown as she is strong, confident, and determined towards being her best self-on-stage. She has been actively working with her organization and using the platform of Miss World Panama 2020 to make a positive impact on society.
