Miss World Philippines 2020 will be held in the month of December where the divas from all over the country will compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent the Philippines at Miss World 2020. The organization will also crown the representative of the Philippines to Miss Supranational from this year.
The organization also announced that the participation of the previous title holders will also be allowed if they are eligible (age) and not crowned Miss World Philippines priorly.
With wish list being prepared for the potential candidate to represent the Philippines at international stage, Jessica Marasigan has caught our attention for the title of Miss World Philippines 2020 as seems potential. She is 26-years-old and stands 165 cm tall and works as a model, host, singer, and an actress.
Jessica was born and raised in the US to Filipino parents and grew up being taught about Filipino and Catholic values and exposed to Filipino food. She became a household name after her participation in the reality show ‘Pinoy Big Brother: 737’ where she became a regular housemate. The stunning dica was also a member of GirlsTrend (an all-female dance group) on ABS-CBN’s show called “It’s Showtime”. She started working as a model and participated in various beauty pageants in the USA and was crowned as the first runner-up at Miss Philippines USA 2012 and a year later joined Binibining Pilipinas USA 2013 where she was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale. Jessica later participated in Miss Philippines Earth 2017 where she was crowned Miss Philippines Water 2017 at the end of the event finale. The diva became a part of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 pageant where she was appreciated for her strong performance and was placed at top 15.
In one of her interviews, Jessica has mentioned that she aspires to help people or animals in her life and helping someone in need gives her happiness. During her stint at Miss Philippines Earth 2017, she mentioned that she wants to raise awareness about Solar Energy in the Filipino community as the Philippines is known for being sunny and bright country, the people of the community should take the advantage of the natural resource and use it for their good and save energy for future generations. She also mentioned that she wants to be an active advocate for the people living with autism.
Jessica is a potential candidate for representing the Philippines at Miss World 2020 stage because she is experienced, steady, self-assured, and positive about herself and her performance. She feels confident on-stage and might emerge as a front runner for the title if she decides to participate. In one of her posts on social media post, Jessica had mentioned that life has always taught her that she is not in control of it always and is full of experiences, adversity, and lessons but, most importantly about the love, possibilities, and new beginnings. The diva can emerge as one of the strongest contenders for the title if she decides to participate.
