The organization also announced that the participation of the previous title holders will also be allowed if they are eligible (age) and not crowned Miss World Philippines prior to this edition. With a list of potential candidates being prepared for the crown, Ganiel Krishnan has caught our attention for the title as she seems like an ideal contender for Miss World Philippines 2020 crown. Some pageant fanatics have speculated that she has been preparing herself for the competition.

Ganiel is 26-years-old and stands 166 cm tall and has Studied Mass Communication (BA) at Far Eastern University. She was born to an Indian-Singaporean father and a Filipino mother and has been proud of being able to embrace both cultures. She is a fluent and confident speaker, due diligence to her profession, and makes sure she puts her point across in a conversation.

Miss World Philippines 2020 Wishlist: Ganiel Krishnan

Ganiel is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she has participated in Miss Manila 2016 where she was the crowd favourite for the crown. She was also placed as the second runner-up at the coveted state pageant and went on to then participate in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2016. She was crowned as 2016 Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific at the end of the event finale. Ganiel then went on to represent her country in Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 where she placed as the second runner-up at the end of the event finale.

The diva is also a courtside reporter for the UAAP's broadcast coverage of ABS-CBN Sports+Action, who report for her school, the FEU Tamaraws varsity teams. Krishnan began her entertainment career as a finalist of the now-defunct noontime show Happy Yipee Yehey!'s segment "My Girl", before being discovered by Johnny Manahan, and later signed for Star Magic.

Ganiel is confident, strong, experienced, and focused towards her goal and seems like an ideal choice to represent the Philippines at international stage. She is one of those beauty queens who hasn’t stopped making a difference in the society and if she decided to participate at Miss World Philippines, she can use the platform to reach out to a massive audience with her advocacy. She feels grateful for all the opportunities she has received till now which has helped her to grow as a human and a model. During one of her Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 interviews, she had revealed that she was nervous to compete with divas who were 175 cm tall where as she is only 166 cm tall but, she just played along with the confidence she had.

The diva mentioned, “At the end of the day, height will only matter if you know how to carry yourself. Being tall wouldn’t matter if you cannot carry yourself well. With confidence, you can stand tall even if you are short.” She is determined towards her goal and her desire to be a positive and impactful role model in the lives of people would help her at the competition if she decides to participate. She has a charming face and personality which can turn out to be very helpful during the competition if she decides to participate.
