The Miss World Singapore organization is hosted the 48th edition of the Miss World Singapore pageant, i.e., Miss World Singapore 2021 on 9th October 2021 where, Miss World Singapore 2019 Sheen Cher crowned Khailing Ho as her successor to represent Singapore at the 70th Miss World pageant. Miss World Singapore, unfortunately, couldn’t be held last year due to the impact of covid-19. But this year for the very first time, arrangements were made for it to be held online. The coronation ceremony was broadcasted virtually on hyperlive.tv.

18 years-old Khai is a talented vocalist and a mental health advocate from Singapore. After being crowned as the new queen, Khai took to her social media to express her feelings as she wrote, “Wow, feelings can’t even describe how humbled, honoured and thankful I am to represent Singapore for the 70th Miss World anniversary to held in Puerto Rico 2021.”

Passing her crown and duties to the new queen, Sheen Cher also congratulated her as she wrote, “Congratulations to our new Miss World Singapore 2021, Khai Ling Ho! Super happy for you! You were yourself throughout and I know you will make Singapore proud at Puerto Rico!” Khai also extended her acknowledgment as she mentioned, “Sheen Cher you’ve represented Miss World Singapore in 2019 and I’m so honoured to be your successor. I hope to make you proud in Puerto Rico and I have so much to learn from you.”

The diva also went on to share a special message on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, “There’s been a significant stigma against individuals with mental health problems and it is vital for each and every one of us to realise how it impacts our daily lives, and we should make it a national priority. It has also not been easy for us to go through these challenges especially during this pandemic”

I am so honoured to work with Silver Ribbon Organisation Singapore, with a robust support system I want to use my voice to spread the awareness and provide a safe space for individuals especially for others who are unable to afford therapy. To educate the importance of your well-being, your emotions are valid and to be taken care of. I know our strength as a community, and when we work together we can achieve great things,” she added.

The strong, determined and confident diva will head to the Miss World 2021 stage to represent Singapore. The 70th edition of Miss World pageant will be held on 16th December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
