On her win, Tya took to her official social media to reveal her happiness in a post captioned, “It’s surreal; a dream come true! God has truly been good to me and I will be forever thankful for this moment. He blessed me with 9 beautiful sisters, who have all contributed to my development in the past 6 weeks and celebrated my victories. Thank you.”

She went on to continue,“I must credit Richard Young for creating this amazing space of sharing, personal unveiling and love that has become one of my fondest moments during my journey. I look forward to learning more about the craft and form of communication, and the art of walking as a Miss World Ambassador. To the MWTT franchise, thank you for ensuring that we were comfortable during this process. You all have managed to foster a spirit of sorority and showed true devotion to our becoming.”
