Since then, the woman had dreamt of, one day, becoming the national director of the pageant, and bringing the crown of Miss Universe to her home country. Luckily for her, with persistence, hard work, sincere efforts, and a strong will, dreams do come true.

Hiroko was just roped in as the national director for the pageant, and she took no time in sharing the good news with her friends and family.

Hiroko took to Facebook, and announced the news of her attainting directorship of the pageant, and also the future plans she has for the competition so far.

"It has been a while since I have updated my status but for good reason.

Today, I am delighted to share with you that my journey continues with Miss Universe Japan in the capacity of a National Director.

This has been a dream of mine since I joined the competition 10 years ago. It goes to show that if you put your mind toward something, anything can be achieved!

The recent Miss Universe Japan 2018 winner @Yuumi_Kato will be working closely with the team to prepare for the main competition later this year. She has chance of further success in that she is beautiful, smart, and strong willed. She will be a great role model for young Japanese women.
