Kristal Silva Davila was crowned as Nuestra Belleza Mexico by the outgoing titleholder, Wendolly Esparza Delgadillo in the glistening coronation gala held on January 31, 2016 after beating 29 other crown contenders in Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico. She was also among our Top 5 Favourites for the crown. Irma Cristina Miranda Valenzuela was adjudged first runner up, Geraldine Ponce Mendez was titled second runner up, Naomi Mondragon Garza was titled third runner up and Yaris Chaidez Zumaya finished as fourth runner up at the same event.
Wendolly Esparaza was a Top 15 finalist at Miss Universe 2015 pageant held in Las Vegas on 20’ December 2015, the newly crowned beauty queen will now follow her footsteps as she will compete in this year’s edition of Miss Universe.

The show began with all the thirty delegates giving an introductory performance. It was then time to announce the Top 15 finalists - Arely Espinoza, Valeria Gongora, Tania Pérez, Lorena Chayban, Giovanna Salazar, Yaris Cháidez, Cristal Silva, Irma Miranda, Michelle León, Naomi Garza, Geraldine Ponce, Magdalena Chipres, Mariana Franco, Ana Lilia Alpuche Tovar and Maria Gabriela Martín.
Thereafter, the Top 15 finalists sashayed the ramp in their respective swimsuits, after which, the Top 10 semi-finalists were announced - Yaris Cháidez, Cristal Silva, Irma Miranda, Michelle León, Naomi Garza, Geraldine Ponce, Magdalena Chipres, Mariana Franco, Ana Lilia Alpuche Tovar and Maria Gabriela Martín.
The Top 10 then exhibited their performance in the evening gown competition. After the evening gown competition, the Top 5 finalists were announced - Yaris Cháidez, Naomi Garza, Irma Miranda, Geraldine Ponce and Cristal Silva. The Top 5 went through the last segment, the Question and Answer round, which finally led to the announcement of the winner.
In association with Televisa, the Nuestra Belleza México organization is directed by the nation's first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones who was crowned in 1991. The organization has produced one Miss Universe in 2010, the second title for Mexico in that event, and two Miss International winners, in 2007 and 2009.
Making a Top 15 cut at Miss Universe in the year when the competition is so nail biting, Mexico has proved the world that nothing is impossible. With proper training and grooming sessions, the newly crowned stunning Nuestra Belleza Mexico will be ready to give a power packed performance in the coming edition of Miss Universe in 2016.
