Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, 24, is from Cagayan de Oro. She took cooking classes at Café Ysabel and worked for several months in England, before coming back to Manila. Pia Alonzo is a former ABS-CBN Star Magic artist and also a popular actress and model. Pia has been her family’s bread earner and care taker, and believes this to be one of the best things that happened to her. She says, “I was 11 when I stepped up to become a breadwinner through modeling and acting. Now I’m glad that they’re settled and finally okay. This experienced helped me mature a lot, and I don’t regret it.”
Binibini 10, Pia was the first runner up in Binibining Pilipinas 2013, and this is her third attempt at the pageant. This year, Pia believes, she is more relaxed and at ease, for which she thanks her sister. Taking about her sister, Pia says, “I’m the more serious ‘ate,’ and she is more carefree. She taught me how to have more fun.”

Pia enjoys cooking and is a chef by profession. When not in the action for Binibini, this multi talented contestant loves to cook, bake, act, host, sing and dance. This might be her third shot in the Bb. Pilipinas, but she still remains excited and passionate about the pageant. The charming lady, Pia, believes in staying modest, even though she is familiar with the competition, as she thinks, doing so can help her pull through her weak points.
