Risa Nagashima of Yamagata has been crowned as Miss Supranational Japan 2016 at the end of the scintillating finale held at the Omiya Sonic City in Saitama City on May 6’ 2016. At the same pageant, Yuki Sonoda was adjudged as the first runner up while Emiri Shimizu finished as the second runner up. Risa Nagashima will now represent Japan at the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant set to be held later this year.
The reigning Miss Supranational Japan Mieko Takeuchi passed the prestigious reign and crown to her successor Risa Nagashima at the end of the gala night.
Risa Nagashima clinched the crown after defeating 20 other gorgeous finalists who competed at the pageant.
Sponsored by Dermozone, the Miss Supranational Japan 2016 pageant was a glamorous affair as a total number of twenty-one (21) finalists walked down the stage wearing glorious evening gowns and chic swimwears.
As the striking gala night of Miss Supranational Japan 2016 commenced, the eminent panel of juries announced the top 10 finalists, who were – Hiroshima - Aya Izaki, Chiba - Rie Yoshia, Kanagawa - Rina Matsuda, Kumamoto - Yuki Sonoda, Yamagata - Risa Nagashima, Aichi - Ayaka Sato, Gifu - Yurika Watanabe, Higashi-Tokyo - Emiri Tsukui, Kagoshima - Yuki Sonoda and Gunma - Emiri Shimizu.
Then the juries altered down their top 10 finalists into top 5 finalists -
Gunma – Emiri Shimizu
Gifu – Yurika Watanabe
Yamagata – Risa Nagashima
Kanagawa – Rina Matsuda
Kagoshima – Yuki Sonoda
The Runners-Up at the finals were;
Second runner up – Gunma - Emiri Shimizu
First runner up – Kagoshima - Yuki Sonoda
