Miss Philippines Earth 2018, has made all its finalists known. The pageant is another one of really popular pageants in the country, and a celebrated one too. Over 40 girls have been selected as the contestants from thousands of applications. These earth warriors will fight for the crown that currently belongs to Miss Earth Karen Ibasco, and a winner will be crowned at the finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2018 on 19th May 2018 at MOA Arena.
But before we the finale, it’s necessary to get to know the ladies fighting for the crown.
The representative of Laak, Compostela Valley is Princess Faye Fernandez. 18 years old, Faye is a Psychology student. She stands tall at 5 feet 5 inches and measures 33 inches - 25 inches - 36 inches.
Faye was adopted by her now parents when she was young. She recalls the experience of being an adoptive child. She says, “Growing up without my biological parents, life seemed so hard that time because at that age I was really longing for parental love. However, I was still so blessed because I was being taken good care of by my foster parents. I must say that even though I felt so incomplete that time, I still felt loved and they treated me as their true daughter.”
The greatest lesson that Faye has learned during her childhood days, according to her, is that people always come and go, therefore, we have to love them in every moment of our lives.
The memory that lives vividly in Faye’s mind and heart is of the last time she saw her mother and touched her face. The event took place 16 years ago before she died.

She wants to be Miss Philippines Earth 2018 because since the loss of her biological parents, she has been very passionate in advancing her advocacies in life, and one of these advocacies is to save and preserve mother earth.
Her environmental advocacy puts an eye to responsible mining which aims to educate the youth in all sectors about the negative effects of irresponsible mining and what a responsible one has to offer.
