Miss Panama Organization, just recently, announced that Carmen Jaramillo has been appointed Miss Universe Panama 2020 and will now be representing Panama in Miss Universe 2020. The decision to appoint her was made through the succession law for Miss Universe 2020 to the first runner-up of the 2019 edition. The organization agreed on this decision due to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic.
The 25-year-old stunning beauty is a Panamanian model who is a pageant veteran. She stands 178 cm tall and was definitely a strong contender at the last year’s edition of Senorita Panama where she was the first runner-up. Her pageant career began in 2014 as she participated in Senorita Panama 2014 where she represented Panamá Oeste and won the ‘Miss Panamá Latinoamerica del Mundo’ title. Unfortunately, she resigned three days after the pageant.
In 2015, Carmen was crowned Miss Earth Panama 2015 and as a part of her training she represented Panama in Reina Hispanoamericana 2015 as well. She placed in the Top 9 at the end of the event finale. After that, she represented Panama in Miss Earth 2015 where she gave another brilliant performance. Her advocacy was water care and to make it easier to implement its care in our daily habits.
With all of her experience in the pageant world and her stunning beauty, Carmen sure is a strong contender for Miss Universe 2020 crown. She also took to her social media to reveal her happiness in a post captioned, “I have no words to explain how happy I feel, they say that dreams come true, especially what costs us tears, effort, perseverance, those that require patience, trial and error, today after all I attest to that. A thousand thanks to all the people who have believed in me and the organization for this great opportunity to be called Miss Panama Universe 2020!”
The organization announced that the 53rd edition of Miss Panama will be held immediately the National Government considers it appropriate to reactivate all activities in the country and in which the 29 selected candidates will compete and presented on our social networks, without any changes. The winners of this contest will compete in international events in 2021.
