The Silverbird Group is all set to host its coronation night for The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2021 pageant on 18th September 2021 where delegates from all over the country will compete against each other and to win an opportunity to represent Nigeria at Miss World and Miss Universe competitions this year. The winner will succeed, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2019 Nyekachi Douglas for the title.

A few weeks ago, The MBGN Organizing Committee has formally announced the withdrawal of two delegates from the 2021 Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria beauty pageant. The two delegates, Miss Adamawa and Miss Enugu, were withdrawn due to personal circumstances which could not be resolved. In keeping with pageant policy, and to ensure that each Nigerian state continues to be represented at the event; they have been replaced by two other contestants from the standby list of previously screened delegates.

Now, the 37 delegates will compete against each other for the MBGN 2021 title. This year’s batch consists of stunning, strong and determined divas from different parts of the country, selected carefully to represent each state in Africa’s foremost beauty pageant. Some of these divas have stood out from the rest as some of the most potential contenders for the title.

So, without any further ado, here are our Top 12 Hot Picks for The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2021 –

Miss Bayelsa Mercy Jessica Odjugo

Bayelsa’s Jessica is a humanitarian and a chef by profession as she runs a home-made food delivery service called, ‘Jezis Kitchen’. She strongly believes that every new experience in life prepares one for greater heights and is extremely excited for what the future holds. She is also super grateful to everyone who has been of support to her in this journey so far.

 

 

Miss Ekiti Buchi Joy Igwilo

An artist from Ekiti, Buchi Igwilo is an artist and professional model. She is passionate about makeup and fashion mixed with splashes of fun. She has had a wonderful journey so far and is grateful to have reached this stage.

 

 

Miss Gombe Esther Jackson

The stunning representative of Gombe is a professional model and has been crowned Miss Global Nigeria 2020. Representing Nigeria at an international platform has always been her dream and she takes this as a learning experience where she can learn leadership skills, be a confident public speaker and improve her communication skills, to bring about a change in the society.

 

 

Miss Yobe Blessing Enuanwa

MBGN Miss Yobe 2021 Blessing Enuanwa is a beauty queen and entrepreneur. She owns her own beauty brand called Crown Skin Global. She is a certified theatre artist and an advocate for women rights. Not new to pageantry, she was crowned as The Beauty of Africa International in 2017.

 

 

Miss Kano Deborah Adaku Ezeh

Deborah Ezeh representing Kano, is a lawyer, fashion model and a catwalk instructor by profession. She is a strong supporter of mental health awareness. Ezeh is not new to pageantry as she has been crowned Top Model Nigeria 2016 and made it to the Top 15 of the Top Model of the World 2017 competition.

 

 

Miss Kebbi Funmilayo Akinjiola

Miss Kebbi 2021 Funmilayo is a professional model and entrepreneur. She founded a small business, ‘YourInteriors’, an online plant and flower boutique based in Lagos as well as an online shop for candles, humidifiers and props. Funmi is extremely grateful to the organization for this opportunity and for all the undying love and support she has been receiving.

 

 

Miss Ondo Oluwapelumi Odeyemi

23 years-old Odeyemi is a law graduate and her passion is to fight against gender based violence. She believes in the power of a young woman standing up and having a voice. She wants to push herself to be more and inspire herself to do more. She aims to extend her voice through the platform.

 

 

Miss Kaduna Okolo Peace Uche

Queen Peace Uche from Kaduna is a professional model working as photo, editorial, high fashion and commercial model. She is not new to pageantry as she was crowned Queen Western Nigeria 2018 and was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Ideal Nigeria 2019. She wants to use the MBGN platform to make a difference in the lives of women in Nigeria. Peace’s aim and mission in life is to be a Queen that can positively influence the lives around her.

 

 

Miss Oyo Rebecca Bisola Omiyale

Rebecca Omiyale representing the state of Oyo, is an entrepreneur and model. She is the founder of a unisex clothing brand called ‘Reccabell Fashion’. Rebecca also recently won the first task of the competition as she illustrated the mismanagement of solid waste. She also recently won the title of Arewa Ogun 2021.

 

 

Miss Rivers Stephanie Iloabachie

Representing Rivers, 20 years-old Stephanie lives in Port Harcourt and is a graduate from the University of Port Harcourt in Sociology. Stephanie is a passionate about standing up against child abuse and fights for child protection. She also raised her voice against the Soot pollution in the state. In 2018, she was crowned as Miss Kanekalon. She personally believes that there is nothing that one cannot achieve when they set their heart to it, just how she has set her heart at the MBGN title.

 

 

Miss Sokoto Doubra Ogula

Hailing from Warri, Doubra currently lives in Jinzhou, Liaoning, China where she is pursuing her medical studies at the Jinzhou (Liaoning) Medical University. For her first task at the pageant, Doubra showcased the Almajiri situation in the state, where young children are now being sent to the streets to beg for food and money, Aside from these children being deprived the right to western education, they suffer a lot on the street, to which she wants to bring light to through the platform.

 

 

Miss Benue Mimidoo Jiki

A professional model and beauty queen from Benue, Mimi is a graduate from the University of South Alabaman She was crowned as Miss Food Basket 2018. She feels honoured to carry Benue’s name across her heart and is extremely grateful for this opportunity.

 

 

The current title holder is Public Health student Nyekachi Douglas who represented Rivers, and her platform is Healthcare. Douglas is currently Africa's Continental Queen of Beauty, having reached the top five at Miss World 2019 marked the first time since 2001 Nigeria placed at both Miss World and Miss Universe. Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, also abbreviated as MBGN, is a pageant organised by Silverbird Group with the main purpose of sending representatives to international competitions.
