28 Dec 2019 | Camilla Suarez

Sirene Sutton’s name conjures up an image of a beautiful and authentic Filipina women who has raised her country’s flag high. She has excellent catwalk skills, photogenic face and has a sweet demeanor. Sirene is 25 years old and stands 175cm tall. She is a marketing management graduate and works as a professional ramp and runaway model. She is a standout beauty that can rightfully capture any of the major crowns. She was a contestant at Binibining Pilipinas 2017 competition and was considered as one of the favorites to win the national pageant.

Unfortunately, during the question and answer round, the diva fumbled and lost her chances of winning. The diva was asked, if it was right that "parents demand support from children in exchange for raising them," Sirene took a moment to think it over and then replied "No," but then asked for the judge to repeat the question. On her second attempt to answer, Sirene answered yes then backtracked and said, "No, sorry," without expounding.

Sirene Sutton was asked on why she joined the beauty pageant, “I wanted join Bb. Pilipinas because I want to see the best version of myself. Not just a model but also as a beauty queen.” She further explained: “As a model, I only showcase the clothes. In beauty pageants, we showcase ourselves and get to be ourselves and show to everybody who we are.”

Sirene Sutton can be one of the strongest contenders to win the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 or Miss World Philippines 2020 or Binibining Pilipinas 2020 if the diva decided to participate. She is confident and strong when she walks on the ramp and her confidence has landed a couple of TV commercials in her kitty. If she decides to give pageantry another try, she has high chances of winning as she is not new to the pageant world and is aware about the pressures and can prepare herself accordingly.

The Philippines is very fortunate to have so many beautiful young, empowered, confident young women wanting to represent the country. If the candidates are strategically placed in the right pageants, in 2020, we can expect to reap more international titles.
