The competition of World Top Model 2019 was held on 14th December 2019 in the magical setting at Fairmont, Monte Carlo. In the 29th edition, there were 50 delegates from five continents who competed for the coveted crown. The objective of the event was to highlight the importance the Model plays in fashion industry and in doing so pay homage to Beauty and to Fashion.

Valentina Beraldo from Italy was crowned the winner of the prestigious international World Top Model competition. Valentia is 16 years old and is currently studying in high school of human science in Viterbo. She aspires to be a model at high level and successful.

She is young but confident, blonde, elegant and classy. Her dreams and ambitions which is clearly to each a high level of pageantry can be clearly seen in the way she walks and carries herself. After her win, her return to the city was welcomed by family, friends and supporters.

She was discovered with street scouting by Antonella Polini of the Background Academy. Antonella in an interview mentioned, ‘"I was in line at the supermarket, I noticed this girl with perfect requirements and asked her if she wanted to join the Academy. Excellence is found in everyday normality. We talked to her parents and then - with their consent - Valentina started preparing for the Academy.

Valentina was accompanied in Montecarlo by the Antonella Polini, Raffaele Squillace and Gian Paolo Piccini. A consolidated team that with commitment and great professionalism continues to ring a success after another, bringing Viterbo to the fore gain in the world of fashion.

Also at the event, April May Short of Philippines became the first Filipina to be granted a scholarship at the prestigious World Top Model Academy in Italy. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey for April as she embarks on her promising modeling career in the International Fashion Runway.
