Miss Universe 2016 is going to be the 65 edition of the Miss Universe pageant and is to be held in 30th January 2017. More than 80 contestants from all across the world will be participating at the pageant. The delegates will be selected through their respective national pageant and will be chosen to represent their nation at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Universe 2016, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from Philippines will pass on her crown to her successor. The Miss Universe 2015 pageant was held on December 20’ 2015 in Las Vegas, USA. Las Vegas is an internationally renowned major resort city known primarily for gambling, shopping, fine dining and nightlife and is the leading financial, commercial, and cultural center for Southern Nevada.
The Miss Universe pageant indulges in various charitable works, The Miss Universe Organization and Dutch development agency, Cordaid, have partnered to create a global fund that will raise awareness and money for regions of the Philippines struggling to recover in the wake of typhoon Yoland.
