At the national pageant held at Kragerø Resort this weekend, Elise Dalby Grønnesby from Hamar was crowned Miss Universe Norway 2014, and will now represent Norway in Miss Universe 2014. Another Hamar girl, Mari Chauhan Ekelöf, was Miss Universe Norway last year.
Elise is just 18 years old, and she defeated 11 other finalists to win the coveted crown. The 12 finalists went through views and interviews, first in exercise clothes, then in evening wear, bikini and finally evening gowns designed by Nina Naustdal.
Seemingly surprised Elise said after winning the title "It was absolutely wonderful in every way possible. It gets a little hard to find the words right now". Elise admits that when she was a child she fantasized about the pageant, but had never imagined that it would one day be she who stood there with the crown of the head.

3rd runner up: Caroline Munthe
4th runner up: Aagot Sofie Langlie
