Ffion Moyle crowned as Miss Wales 2016

Ffion Moyle, hailing from Carmarthen, has been crowned Miss Wales 2016 at the finals of the pageant held on April 16’ 2016 at The Princess Royal Theatre in Port Talbot Swansea, Wales. She succeeds Emma Jenkins from Llanelli, Miss Wales 2015, and will now represent Wales at Miss World 2016. Ffion Moyle defeated 42 other gorgeous aspirants to clinch the title.

23 uears old Ffion Moyle is a makeup artist in Tinopolis. Ffion clinched the crown after proving herself in different preliminary rounds.

At the same pageant, Sophie Bell was adjudged as the first runner up, while Victoria Grinnall finished as second runner up. The coveted pageant of Miss Wales 2016 started with the introduction of the 42 beautiful aspirants, and then after the introduction, the semi finalists for the night were announced.

Subsequently, all the 42 aspirants went through the other challenging rounds of the pageant such as Swimsuit, Evening Gown and most the important Q&A round. The panel of juries picked out the winners while keeping all the needed aspects of the pageant and the performances of the contestants in mind.

It is now 40 years since Wales last won Miss World with Helen Morgan back in 1974. Sophie Moulds from Ferndale came close, finishing second in 2012.

The Miss Wales competition has been in existence since the 1950’s and has been organised by Cardiff events company Vibe since 2004. In recent years, it has grown to become more popular than ever with around 1,000 women registering an interest in the competition each year.
