Melissa Gurgel, 20-year old beauty representing the state of Ceará, has been crowned winner of Miss Brazil 2014 (Miss Brasil 2014) pageant held on September 27' 2014 at the Events Center of Ceará, Fortaleza, Brazil. Crowned by her beautiful predecessor Jakelyne Oliveira, Miss Brazil 2013, she will now go on to compete at Miss Universe 2014.
The event was the 60th anniversary edition of Miss Brazil pageant, the most popular national pageant in Brazil. Twenty-seven (27) lovely girls representing various states of Brazil competed at the finals to win the coveted title. The first runner-up was Miss São Paulo 2014, Fernanda Leme and the second runner-up was Rio Grande do Norte, Deise Benício.
