Miss Cayman Islands Universe 2021 is all set to be held this Saturday, 18th September 2021 at the Westin Resort and Spa, Grand Cayman. The organization had originally scheduled the finale to be held on 11th September 2021 at the same venue but the event was postponed due to emergence of covid-19 cases. Miss Cayman Islands Universe 2020 Mariah Tibbetts will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
Nine finalists have been preparing for their national stint with utmost sincerity and dedication. The winner receives a large assortment of valuable prizes, including a car for a year, a $70,000 scholarship, employment for a year at the Department of Tourism and a new wardrobe. While all these ladies have shown outstanding potential to become the next national winner, here are our Top 3 favourites for the national crown –
Georgina Kerford
Georgina Kerford is 18 years of age from George Town. She is currently pursuing a degree at the University College of the Cayman Islands in education. An avid lover of dancing, Georgina has earned a lifetime scholarship with Miss Jackie’s School of Dance. A team player and a compassionate person, Kerford is always looking for experience and a challenge in any aspect to broaden her knowledge. The stunning beauty loves to work for her community and volunteer at the Humane society.
Nerissa McLaughlin
Nerissa McLaughlin is 20 years of age from the East End. Not new to the pageantry, Nerissa has represented her district in many pageants, including Miss Teen Cayman Islands. Mental health and its awareness is a lifelong goal of the diva who aspires to be a pioneer in her social work career. She looks forward to playing an integral role in the social betterment of the Cayman Islands and the worldwide community as a part of Miss Cayman Islands Universe. She also volunteers at the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Association of the Cayman Islands.
Tania McLean
Tania McLean is 25 years of age from George Town. She is currently pursuing her degree in Marketing and International Business. A leader, responsible, and confident young lady with self-discipline, McLean already has a lot of experience in the pageantry. With her excellent communication skills, humble and polite nature, Tania will definitely be a strong contender for the national crown.
