At the astounding finale of Miss Mundo Dominicana 2016, held on June 18’ 2016, Yaritza Reyes was announced as the winner. She will now represent Dominican Republic at Miss World 2016 pageant to be held later this year.
Yaritza Reyes is not a newbie in the world of pageantry and was in fact one of the Top 10 finalists at Miss Universe 2013 pageant held in Moscow. Fans will not forget how this beauty stood back after falling into a hole onstage during one of the Preliminary Activities. Yaritza managed to pull a strong finish during the finals of Miss Universe 2013. The chocolate-skinned beauty is blessed with a beautiful voice and will now spread her magic at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

Till date, 7 beauty queens from Dominican Republic have managed to get placed at the Miss World pageant. The highest placement has been achieved by Claudia Julissa Cruz Rodríguez who marked her name as the first runner-up at Miss World 2004 in the history, which was won by Maria Julia Mantilla in Sanya, China. In 2007, Ada Aimée de la Cruz Ramirez won the prestigious Beach Beauty title in Miss World 2007. She later finished as the first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2009. In 2011, Marianly Tejada Burgos won the Miss Sports title at the Miss World.
