The magnificent finale of Miss Universe Kosovo 2016 held on 7th September 2016 concluded with the crowning of Camila Barraza as the winner. Camila succeeds Miss Universe Kosovo 2015 Mirjeta Shala, and will now represent Kosovo at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

Camila is half Argentinean and the beauty managed to defeat 14 other girls to clinch the title of Miss Universe Kosovo 2016. Camila is blessed with the beauty of both the region – Argentina and Kosovo. The beauty queen holds a modelsique charm and can definitely be one of the front runners at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. At the same pageant, Andina Pura was crowned Miss Earth Kosovo 2016 and will now represent Kosovo at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant; and Bleranda Çitaku was titled as second runner-up.

Founded in the year 2008, Kosovo made its debut at the Miss Universe pageant with Zana Krasniqi. Zana set the benchmark by reaching up to the Top 10 finalists’ position. The following year, Marigona Dragusha made it to the second runner-up at Miss Universe 2009. In 2011 and 2012, Kosovo made it to the semi-finals and also won the Mss Photogenic award in 2012 with Diana Avdiu. Since then the country has been waiting for a decent placement at the pageant.
