According to a reputed news website, the beauty queen, who won the crown of Miss Tourism Queen of The Year International 2015 held in Putrajaya, Malaysia on 31 December, admitted that she was very happy to be able to win the pageant. "I did it for my family. After all, they have been the ones who have been giving me the motivation to do so," she said.

Bautista stated that the Tourism Queen of the Year pageant in Malaysia was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

She also admitted that Pia Wurtzbach's crowning as the new Miss Universe was one of the hot topics during the pageant, and that she was a big admirer of the beauty queen.

"I am proud of her dedication and passion for the pageant, as well as her determination to assist and take responsibilities as a beauty queen," she said.

"We were having a tour and some of my friends told me 'Miss Universe is Miss Philippines', and I was really happy and proud that after how many years we got the Miss Universe title," Bautista said on Mornings @ ANC on Wednesday.

But Bautista's happiness for her co-beauty queen turned into pressure, as she too wanted to bring home another international crown.

“Actually, I was being pressured by the win of Miss Pia," she said.

Bautista shared that the pressure helped her keep an eye on the goal and to remind herself why she was competing.

"But in our competition I always think why I am here, why am I competing, why I do this pageant, so that keeps me motivated during the hard times in the pageant,” Bautista said.

Bautista claims she was not so much into beauty pageants. Her mother, however knew she was born a beauty queen.

“I was lacking self-confidence before and I think every person is experiencing that kind of situation and I believe that there should be one person to push you… and (for my case) that would be my mom,” the beauty queen said. With her mother's help, Bautista got rid of her insecurities.

"When you believe in yourself, it starts to change everything that you do," she said.

After her reign as an ambassadress of tourism, Bautista plans to be a flight attendant.

"I'm looking forward to be a flight attendant. I want to travel the world, to experience the world and inspire people," Bautista said.
