Miss Earth Indonesia organization appointed Safira Reski Ramadhanti Rumimper as the official representative of Indonesia at Miss Earth 2020. For 2021, the organization held the national pageant as Monica Khonado was crowned as the new queen and became the official representative of Indonesia at Miss Earth 2021.

Monica believes in taking good care of planet earth regardless of race, ethnics, belief. On being crowned the new queen, she took to her official social media as she wrote, “It's really a surprising moment to be crowned as Miss Earth Indonesia 2020. I will do my best with this new responsibility I carried, for the people, and of course for the earth. The earth is not only a destination, but it's our home! Yours and mine.”

“Thank you for my family, friends, Lazzaro team, all the judges, my queen, the team who made the event be done successfully especially, all pageant lovers, and everyone who supported me this far, never could I imagine this journey without all of you. Not able to mention your name one by one, but you know who you are”, she added.

Monica also thanked all the finalists for their unwavering support as she wrote, “To all the 24 other finalist, I'm not the only one who won the competition, but all of us won it already even before the coronation night. I love you girls. Winning is only the beginning of this journey, there more things to be done and conquered ahead, that's why I still need your prayers and supports.”

Along with Monica, Saira Saima was adjudged Miss Earth Indonesia Air 2020, Inez Amelia was adjudged Miss Earth Indonesia Water 2020, Vidya Paramita was adjudged Miss Earth Indonesia Fire 2020 while Natasha Namoru was adjudged Miss Earth Indonesia Ecotourism 2020.
