Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the Top 10 finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose at the gala dinner held on 3rd March 2024 in Mumbai, India. One of these delegates will win the Best BWAP project at the finale. Let’s take a look at all the Top 10 finalists projects for the 71st Miss World.

Lesego Chombo of Botswana won a spot in the Top 10 in Beauty with a Purpose Challenge with her ‘Genesis Project’. The Genesis Project is a children’s development program which aims to open the minds of the children and increase their exposure to the outside world and opportunities.

One of the core values of the Genesis Project is sustainability. Through her project, Chombo spoke about how changing the parenting mindset in economically disadvantaged communities requires years of unlearning old habits and adopting new ones, a lifelong commitment.

On winning the Top 10 spot, Chombo took to her official social media as she wrote, “I am beaming with gratitude. The Genesis Project being selected and recognized as one of the Top10 BWAP projects here at Miss World is so humbling. I can’t wait to reflect on this achievement 15years from now with my G.P. babies once they can understand what it means. Thank you, Julia Morley and the Miss World BWAP panel for this great honor.”

Botswana has been competing with all sincerity and dedication at this year’s Miss World having won a spot in the Top 40 already with Head-to-Head Challenge win. She is surely one strong contender to look out for this year’s crown.

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.
